The active ingredient in Tadaga is tadalafil. It belongs to a group of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors.
During sexual arousal, nitric oxide (NO) is released within the penis. Nitric oxide relaxes blood vessels, increasing blood flow. It results in an erection of the penis. However, an enzyme called PDE5 interferes with this process. It may cause some men to lose their erection too quickly. Tadalafil, being a PDE5 inhibitor, blocks this action.
When a person is sexually excited, tadalafil helps boost the action of nitric oxide. This allows blood to flow freely to the erectile tissue. This helps men get an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse.
However, sexual arousal is still needed for tadalafil to work. The medicine cannot activate an erection on its own. It only helps the chain of reactions that take place during arousal.
Not using it as instructed, or having the wrong dosage can cause tadalafil not to work.
For ED, Tadaga 80mg is used as a single dose a day. The whole tablet is swallowed with water. Take it 30 minutes to 1 hour before engaging in sexual activity. You may take it with or without food. Avoid consuming grapefruit juice while taking Tadaga.
For the treatment of other conditions, the dosage can vary. Your doctor may adjust how often and how much you should take it.
For ED, Tadaga 80mg is taken only as needed. So, it is unlikely that you would miss a dose. If you still forget to take a pill or not sure if you have taken one, leave it out for the day. Make sure you have at least a 24-hour gap between two doses.
Note that 80mg of Tadaga (tadalafil) is a powerful medication. The effects may last even longer than 24 hours. So, do not take an 80mg tablet every day.
If you miss a dose for BPH or PAH, take the missed dose as soon as you think of it. If it is almost time to take your next dose, leave out the missed dose. Take your next dose at the usual time.
Tadaga 80mg is generally safe for most men. But it doesn’t mean it can be taken as much as you want. Overdose may result in:
